That's a reallly nice coat. When I read the title I was wondering if it was a reference to Firefly/Serenty, that is the best show ever Smiley.

Stop being so damned positive. Staring at the sun only blinds some one. By only looking at the positive, you miss an entire beautiful world of shadows and colors. Don't be overly negative, be realistic. The world is so much more complex and beautiful that way.

This is fantastical. Mal SHOULD have wore this when he dueled for Inara's honor.

The connotations wearing my nerves thin
Could it be semantics generating the mess we're in?

This coat is gorgeous!  I posted about it at my blog: http://jossisahottie.com/whedoncraft/2008/08/02/reconstructed-browncoat/

Wow!  Thanks everyone!  I got the coat some many months back, and by the time I altered it, I'd stopped working out and can't blame the coat for the snug fit Roll Eyes - but I'm back at Jazzercise and, after just a month, already can get nicely into the tawny tightpants again. The coat, still not roomy in that oversized browncoat way, but it does close again!   Once I get through with sewing my Fall wardrobe, I'll get back to doing my costumes, finish making the holster, and post some action shots!

Thanks again, everyone!

Okay - finally have an action shot - it's the only pic I have, but I thought I'd share the final outcome Smiley  Not quite done with the holster, but I made due. Wink
