Oh gawsh I love them all! I'm sooo tempted to make one of those book hidey-hole things but I'd cry at destroying a book. Yes, I'm that bad.

Thanks for the well wishes guys. Turns out As per usual, I got a  BAAAD batch of flu. All thats left now is the occasional sniffle and a rather sore throat. I really hope it clears up before the 26th... I'd hate to go away and be coughing up a lung all day .

I've been doing a little bit of crafting for the last few days. Mainly just a bunch of things for mums bedroom ready for it to be decorated, but still - better than nowt!

I'm making a blanket for my uni room as it gets so cold! If you can make/spare any 5X5 inch squares of crochet, I'd happily swap you for something! Please PM me!

i received my awesome package today from craftydeb!! i'm soooo excited! i loooovvvee everything Smiley

first, here's a picture of everything...

sorry for the crappy pictures. short of taking stuff outside and taking pictures of it in the mud, this is the best lighting in my house.

these are the awesome sugar skull patches she machine embroidered for me.

this is the beautiful knitting needle/crochet hook roll that i already stuffed all my needles and hooks in. the outside fabric is the neat colorful chinese zodiac animals on black print.

then, as if that wasn't enough... she made me some awesome little zippered pouches. the little round one also has the chinese zodiac fabric on the non-zippered side.

and, there is a great little reusable shopping bag.

and, my little treat was some fun nail polish in two shades of pink with a fast dry coat. and i got a pretty little zebra print note card explaining everything with a picture of some rockets in her hometown. my son tried to steal the picture. lol

craftydeb, thank you for an awesome first swap for me! i absolutely loved everything!!

Two cool packages!

Cool coasters and that gnomey guy is so cute with the buttons.
And I am completely envious of that needle/crochet hook roll - so many pockets! *drool* Grin Cool patches too!

Eukarya - you won't believe it but I scored that at Walmart.  I regret not buying more.  I only bought like 2 yards of it like a total dolt.
I did nab up a whole bolt of paisley skull fabric - black on gray.  I might be able to share some of that with you sometime in the future.  I have not washed it yet... I am really really hoping that it washes up nicely.  You just never know with fabric!

Ren - that is one of my favorite skull designs.  I have a few day of the dead ones but that is just my favorite.  It is suppose to be free standing lace but I have decided that I like it better sewn directly on to material instead of being just a piece of lace.... but then the lace is pretty.  Hindsight - should have done it up with the pink thread in the background and the brown thread for the details or vice versa... That would have been sooo pretty in lace with those color combos!!

And me being the perfectionist - there are 3 pink ones because one if slightly imperfect but figured hey, include it anyway but remake it just to be on the safe side!

wowza!

Craftydeb- do you have a favorite walmart location? I was just out at decatur - I held back (which is a switch for me) but they had some great "cute" fabrics... but no skulls or chinese zodiac coolness......

I love looking at the gallery! So much fun! I get excited and its not even for me!

I usually just hit Sparkman Drive since it is closest to me... the Chinese zodiac material I scored last fall I think.... normally the really great stuff goes VERY quickly.
I am going to wash some of the skull fabric tomorrow and see how it does.  I am so curious to see if my big purchase at a super savings was a dud or a tasty spud Grin Hopefully it will be a fully loaded one..

someone on the trader just listed up 5 black garbage bags full of material for $40.... I bit my lip since I did just but a ton of material.  I nearly caved though!
