I am also working on this one, albeit slowly. I can't really knit and watch TV with this project! I'm happy to know that there are others working on this.
Anway, I'm about 20 stitches into the back. I'm using Brown Sheep Co's Cotton Fine in Cavern on size 3s.
So far, i've found reading the archives on the lollygirl blog knitalong to be really useful. The pattern designer took part and has some updates to the sleeves.

I've gotten a few inches into the back, and then had to rip back each time... I either get way off somehow (lace all wacky), or I find I've somehow increased or decreased when I shouldn't have, and just all kinds of things.
getting ready to hop back in and try again while waiting for my World of Warcraft realm to let me in! heh.
I'm so glad to see more Luckys-in-progress, yay!

has anyone made the XS size? I'm confused about the number of stitches required to cast on. if anyone would look at my math and let me know if I'm on the right track or completely off, I'd appreciate it.
the clover lace is an 8 stitch repeat. for the XS, I cast on 106 stitches.
for row 3 - where I'm stuck counting and re-counting stitches, thinking that I'm losing my mind - there are five stitches, then a bunch of clovers, and then 2 stitches.
5 st + (8 st) + 2 st
106 minus 7 is 99. this is not divisible by 8.
I can cast on 103 stitches (7 st on the ends, plus 12 clover repeats, which add up to 96 st) and then the math works out. right? or am I forgetting/missing something? I've ripped this thing out so many times... I want to figure out what's going wrong!

FINALLY. I can't believe I finally finished it.
I started this sweater about this time last year, got frustrated and put it away for more than six months, picked it up last month, finished the knitting but had to steek because everything was way too wide (still is a bit, I think I might take a little in on the sides, but I am just so glad that my Irish self managed to get this thing ready for it's St. Patrick's Day debut.

It looks great
It has been on my list to do, and everyone's looks marvelous, but I do get discouraged with everyones trials and tribulations. How much yarn did you end up using? It is beautiful!!

I am starting this sweater tomorrow after I buy some size 2s for the ribbing. I am using recycled, very fine wine colored cotton, and I am hoping I have enough for the whole thing!! I am making the XS. People who bought the yarn--were the skein estimates correct, or did you find you needed more/less than the pattern called for?

PlayItGeorge- I used the Rowan yarn and used just under 7 balls, but my sleeves are kinda short, so I maybe should have made them longer. And I think I made the small. Good luck! It is fun to see everyone's progress.

I have been wanting to make this for awhile now! But I have one question: has anyone worked it in XL? I'm a size 14 and am curious as to how it'll look in the larger size...
