i loved knitting this. it took a long time but it was never boring. i used a pattern that i found on ravelry but i tweaked it a bit. the color chart was off and the final round wasnt the same on all sides, so a friend and i redid the chart to make it work. i also changed the border color to pink after we found out the baby is a girl. she isnt due til the beginning of august...im so glad i finished early!

pattern - http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/cotton-ease-baby-blanket

yarn - lion brand cotton ease. first time working with it, it knit up nicely.

What does the backside look like? Did you line it?

no, its not lined. i dont really love how the back looks, it has weird puffy seams from picking up stitches. but its just going to have a right side and a wrong side. i feel like lining it might ruin it.

That's beautiful.  I love cottonease for baby projects because it works up so soft and durable, but it's cost effective.

Yay- I'm so excited you made my pattern! It's my first one- I'm sorry you had trouble with it. The blanket turned out beautifully. Would you mind sharing your fixes to the pattern so I can update it on my blog?
Thanks!
