I couldn't find a pattern I liked, so I made my own...  I didn't have enough yarn to make it quiet long enough - I would have added another 2 rows or so to the bottom if I hadn't run out.

Toddler Halter Top

Materials:
Red Heart's Monet
Size I/9- 5.50 MM Crochet hook
Yarn needle (for weaving in ends)

Abbreviations:
chain (ch)
single crochet (sc)
double crochet (dc)

Boobie Triangles:
Begin by ch 3. In the last chain from the hook, 2 dc, 1 ch, 3 dc. Ch 3, turn.
Row 2: Work 2 dc in last dc of previous row, 1 ch, work (3 dc, 1 ch, 3 dc) in ch 1 space, ch 1, 3dc in last dc. Ch 3, turn.
Row 3: Work 2 dc in last dc of previous row, 1 ch, 3 dc in 1 ch space, 1 ch, work (3 dc, 1 ch, 3 dc) in ch 1 space, 1 ch, 3 dc in 1 ch space, 3 dc in last dc.  Ch 3, turn.
Row 4: Continue as established in last row. Finish off.

Make TWO Boobie Triangles.

Begin by ch 50. Sc in bottom corner of one of the boobie triangles. sc in every available stitch across, doing 2 sc in the center hole of each. Overlap the two boobie trianglesby one stitch in the middle.  When you reach the end of the 2nd boobie triangle, ch 50.  Finish off.

Ch 50 at the top of each boobie triangle (join in the ch1 at the top).

For the "apron" part:
Starting at one end of the boobie triangles, join in one of the sc's - chain 4, skip a sc, sc in the next sc. Repeat across. Ch 6, turn, sc in the last loop you made. Ch 4, sc in the next loop, repeat across. Ch 6, turn, repeat as before.  Make 10-15 rows, or to desired length.

Please post pictures if you try this out ~ it's my first attempt at creating my own design AND my first attempt at writing a pattern.

Heh, you and me both!  There are lots of adult sized crochet halter top patterns, but I had no lucky finding little kid ones yesterday.  Have another style all figured out in my mind that is a bit more covering, ROFL...

Ah, thanks for the compliments! Smiley
Someone posted the kerchief pattern yesterday ~ I actually used the first 4 rows of it for the boobie triangles. Wink

Ah thanks!! Smiley

I wasn't quite happy with yesterdays... it seemed a bit *too* skimpy, so I created a new pattern.  I like this one so much more!! And it's made with Cottontot by Bernat, which is sooooooo darn soft. This one also has the apron extending around the back. Smiley

That is freakin' adorable.  And you have the cutest little girl!  Where do you live that you're making and wearing halter tops in February?  I want to live there.  I can't churn out the scarves fast enough right now.  I'm totally making this top for my little one!
