This was made for the FOCR swap, so I don't know who it is going to yet but someone will 'win' it.  We have to post pictures anyway, so I'm not spoiling anything.
I have to say, I'm very happy with this cherry tree, even though it is smaller than my first, I think I did a better job, especially with the framing and colors (Thanks HSG and sorry Nofury)
The background is watercolor
The trunk is sculpey
The branches are twigs from a tree in my back yard
The blossoms are quilled paper.

And for a closer look at the blossoms:

THanks everyone for the nice comments...
Cyndiq,
The bark is sculpey...clay that you bake to harden...then textured a little, the painted brown to make the twigs...

The frame was bought at IKEA just the way it is, and I painted a background with watercolors.

I'm learning each time I make one...maybe someday I'll get them just the way I want them.

I never replied to this!!! I thought I did. You did a great job on this one, too. No need to apologize, however; 'cause I like mine the best!!!

You know, the last time Ive seen this done was in high school art class and none of our attempts looked that good. I didnt even know it was called quilling until I read this post. Thanks for teaching me something new and thanks for sharing.
