I got this kit when I was 9. My aunt was pregnant, and being the adventurous little kid that I was, I wanted to finish it and give it to her for the nursery. I did a little bit on it, but soon gave it up.
A couple years ago, I ripped out everything I had done when I was 9 (except the satin stitch on the star in the top left) and started again. I'd done a little bit but this summer, I started really working on it, and I'm almost done with the first 3 letters. I had to post since I was so proud for actually accomplishing something.

So, enough with the long-winded story, here are some pics.

(I lost some thread sometime in the last 11 years, and haven't had the time to get more, hence why the one arrow doesn't have a tail)

That is such a neat story!  It looks really pretty.  It would be so awesome if you finished it and one day, many years from now, gave it to your future great niece/nephew.

I keep looking at those printed crosstitch thingies. I can't cross stitich but I'm awesome at embroidery..is it like the same thing? I have a great nephew or neice being born in December so I might do one for the new baby.

It looks pretty neat. You don't happen to know or remember which chart it was as I would love to do one like this. I've done one before but this chart looks so much better. Thanks and good work keep it up. It'll probably look awesome once it's finished.

Back before the days of counted cross stitch, there were a lot of these stamped patterns around. I used to do them quite frequently and it's exactly like embroidery, as I recall. You just follow the pattern. Once I discovered counted cross stitch I've never gone back. Seeing all the cool embroidery on this site has given me the itch again though.

I especially like this design as it's probably no longer in print. It will be truly one of a kind when you finish it.

The stitches on the arrowheads and fletches look so neat and tidy. I also love the colors. Don't give up on it this time, it's going to look great!

It's a great pattern and looks really fun to work on. Your stitches are very smooth and even. Good for you for working on it again, it's going to be awesome!

It is a Bucilla kit called "ABC World," but I'm fairly certain its discontinued. Undecided
