I spun my first art yarn this week! It was made from a kit I received in the Handspun Art Yarn Swap. It's halfway through being knit into a wrap by now. And it's really a coordinating pair of yarns... I thought the beads would be too busy with the other elements, so I made one main yarn and one trim yarn with the sparkly beads.

The kit:

As always some gorgeous stuff.  I particulary love Carribean Dreams and Marichino Cherry.

Here is mine for this week.  Its called 'Sweet and Juicy'.

I don't know how everyone manages to spin so much.  I wish I was more proficient.  It takes me about 1 week to get a skein done.

hey all

I can't believe that it's that time again. Where does the time go? So for this week I jumped on the corespinning bandwagon. I would have done it last week, but I had to try my hand at a boucle yarn. I'm lovin both techniques and can't wait to turn out some more.

A Favor House Atlantic - Corridale, soy silk, tencel - unknown yardage right now...I still have a few more batts to spin. I used an acrylic yarn for the core. So damn soft, fluffy, and just plain awesome. The only problem is that I don't have a jumbo flyer, so I don't get to spin much before I have to stop and change bobbins. This is the third or fourth in my music yarn series (this one is named after a Coheed and Cambria song).

See you all next week

Wow! This has  been a productive week for everyone. This is the most awesome fiber Friday I've seen!
I love strawberry patch, and Adridne's silk and mrs. havershame pink, and Lyme's superwash merino, and gothic...and ...just wow!

I've been washing fleeces and carding batts this week, so I only finished one skein:

superwash worsted weight...for some reason I can never get blue things to photograph true to color with my camera Undecided

So much drool worthy yarn!

I ordered my first Ugly Batt this week and I've got a couple of balls of white roving on the way as well. I started spinning my batch of bright neon fiber I got recently but haven't gotten through with it yet.

Lovely stuff this week though! I just want to squish it all up and sleep on it. hehe!
