We've had a looooooooong winter here in the Wenatchee valley, and just in time for it to be over I finished my first major (and well fitting) project!  Behold:


check out my blog for all the specs -
I found the yarn originally as a sweater at Ross, but it was hideous.  However the tag said 60% wool blended w/ silk, alpaca and cashmere.  Couldn't possibly pass it up!


When I was finished unraveling the whole thing I noticed that the MSRP on the original tag was $188.00!  Yikes!  Ah well, it went to a better cause and I'm happy Smiley 
I used Clover size 6 needles until I wore the points off, then I used Addi Lace needles.  I <3 Addis! 
The pattern is the Cable Cardigan from Knit.1 Spring 07.  Weirdly I'd been looking for an aran sweater pattern for quite some time, but hadn't found one that wasn't a box or 8 times too large for me.  Then when I found the yarn I started flipping through my magazines and books and found this pattern.  I couldn't believe I'd looked so hard for one and it was just sitting right there!  See?  I love it!

Gorgeous sweater!  I saw Junuary in your title and knew you had to be from the PNW!  It's actually been sunny here in Portland the last few days.  Maybe summer really is coming?

I thought it might be as it was blazingly hot the last 2 days... but now it's cloudy and in the 70's again.  It could even rain.  It's supposed to be dry over here, not humid!  Even worse for sweater wearing  Tongue
