Wow!  I just read through all of these pages, and I'm impressed with the progress people have made!   Grin

Right now, I'm in college, but I'll be done with my freshman year on May 1!  Yay!

However, I want to totally redo and reorganize my room when I get home.  (Hopefully my dad will be done redoing my brother's room by then ~ he's in mine... ugh)

I'll get pics up when I go home for the weekend next time.

But anyway, here is my list of things to do when I get my room back:
-Rearrange room
-Vacuum room
-Clean sheets, pillow cases, and mattress pad
-Clean out armoire (ex. give stuff to Goodwill, hang stuff up, etc.)
-Hang over-the-door hanger up and put purses on it
-Clean out desk (I have so much stuff crammed into it, and it's not very big as it is)
-Clean out bins under the bed (I have clothes that aren't at school there)
-Clean out dresser and sort it as well (Goodwill, etc.)
-Organize scrapbooking supplies
-Wipe down window
-Clean up window seat (I have a bay window in my room)
-Organize mantle (I have a nonworking fireplace in my room - our house was built in 1889)
-Clean up any last things that need done
-Go to Ikea and buy the following:
--Orgel table lamp
--Dalselv nightstand (I don't have a nightstand in my room anymore)
--Snille swivel chair
--Chair mat for swivel chair
-Put furniture together
-Move furniture in
-Set up MacBook and printer on desk

I think that's it!  Whew!

You would be surprised how easy and fast it is to get things done when you make a specific list like that... good luck!

Don't say you don't have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein.

ok I definatly need to join in. My craft supply room..I can only walk halfway in haha...and the area under the stairs needs a completely rehaul. As well as my laundry room needs complete fix up. Every other room in the apt is beautiful so I feel ashamed about the 3 hidden areas.

Im going to be starting with the craft supply room, by bringing out all the storage totes and baskets and dumping everything out and sorting through it.

Tomorrow my goal is move out some of the storage boxes and go through those, as well and scrub behind the laundry room door...

Good luck to me! haha

Hi. My name is Rachael and I'm a clutter-aloc. I don't know why I do it..it just happens. Especially now that I work at a restuarant I have developed some very poor habits. Like at work we wipe things on the floor because it will be swept soon...I find myself just dropping trash at home and I scold myself after I realize I have to pick it right up.
My room is getting so bad that I avoid being home. The clutter makes my skin crawl. I'm almost always very tired when I get so sometimes that leads to even more messiness because I throw my things everywhere. I often fall asleep with what I am working on right beside me in my bed.

So anyways, forget the tearful confession Smiley Today I rid my room of books that sit on my shelves but I never read. I also got rid of some possessions. Right now it's more of a matter of getting rid of things. I have so much stuff that I have no place for anything to go. What I accomplished today: Getting rid of books allowed me take books off of my floor and put them in their rightful place.

Next steps:
1. Get rid of textbooks.
2. Put my wool roving away.

I'm a real "out of sight out of mind" person so putting things in drawers is usually a problem. It normally means I'll never see them again. I used some of this to my advantage by putting all my glue and tape in a drawer since I know I will need those again when I craft. Any advice?

I completely finished my craft supply room!!

I spent quite a few evenings going through things, and then one night I spent about 6 hours and blocked myself in with furniture and completely finished it!

I cannot beleive how organized and wonderfuly set up it is. I can go in and know exactly where something is.

Ill post a photo shortly.
