I went into my closet a few days ago looking for a skirt to wear. (Summer is in full effect here and I can't bring myself to wear shorts.) I came across this AWESOME pink skirt I used to wear all the time. Of course I immediately put it on and broke the zipper. What can I say I've gained a few extra pounds Tongue

I just couldn't part with it so I did what any craftster would do. I got out my seam ripper, accidentally stabbed myself in the hand and made the skirt into a dress for Anabel. It's a combination of New Look 6501 and New Look 6688. I used 6501 for the top and 6688 for the skirt. I had to tweak the pattern alittle so It would fit the amount of fabric I had. I made the skirt a little smaller and the ties at the waist in the back shorter. All in all I think it turned out pretty good.

Thanks for looking!

Being resourceful is ALWAYS a good thing!  Especially when a cute dress comes out of it!  That's great!

Way cute.  I love the ribbon around the neck and the super cute fabric.
