I made these flower pots for a swap.  I just bought 99 cent flower pots from Michaels and then cut little squares out of tissue paper.  I used a waterproof Mod Podge to "paint" the tissue paper squares into place on the pot and then Mod Podged the whole thing for good measure.  It's cool because they came out very smooth looking and the tissue paper overlaps to form different colours.

It was the first time I ever did something like this and it actually turned out pretty well!

Sorry I don't have a better picture.  Thanks for looking!

Way cool, now that you have experimented with flower pots, look at these sneakers using the same technique

hmm, what do you know - that's the exact same idea!  The sneakers turned out pretty cool, and that would be the real test of the outdoor mod podge.

kylieultra - they'd probably be really cute tealight holders, you could do a set all in one or two colours or just do each one in a different colour.  I'm a sucker for tealights!

Thanks Sinjah! Smiley

THese would make great gifts for my daughter's teachers. It's a neat and inexpensive way to show appreciation...and they are easy enough that my daughter could make them herself (11 yrs old).

Cute! Thanks for sharing.
