Came home last night to a wonderful bulging bag from hobbledehoy.

What color!  What sparkle!!  I'm loving these!

What is a real hoot is when Paul (DH) gets excited when he sees a fiber package  and starts coveting the fiber!!

Merinos, bamboo, soy silk, cotton, sparkle ... what more can a spinner want??

I've not spun bamboo or cotton so this is a real treat!

I've taken pictures but left the cord at home.  I will upload tomorrow.

I'm soooo excited about spinning these!!

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Hobbledehoy!!

yay!  I was hoping it would arrive yesterday!  happy spinning, I tried to make the batch vivid and sparkletastic Wink

vivd and sparkletastic is how I would describe them!

I may never want to go back to natural colors .....  at least not for a while!

What dyes do you use?

I use plain old Jacquard dyes (purchased in bulk from DharmaTradingCo).  I bought the primary colors, and then expanded to several secondary and tertiary colors- like purple, teal, spruce, golden yellow, burnt orange, and burgundy.  I need to re-order, their fuchsia and turquoise are nice and loud!  I go pretty heavy on the dyes, and then add extra wool to the pot if the wool saturates and needs more fiber to soak up the excess.

ps: to make screaming neon green, use lots and lots of lemon yellow + a wee smidgen of teal.

I received today! That was really fast overseas shipping... I'm usually one of the last ones to receive!

Look what I got:

Corriedale roving and a bit of firestar in a really beautiful colourway.

I love both rovings, the colours are wonderful! Plus, I've never spun Corriedale before and I'm really excited to see how it will spin up.

Thanks so much noodle princess, can't wait to start spinning!
(Maybe that motivates me to make some progress at the lace project currently on my wheel....)

The pictures don't even do these rovings justice!

I love my natural colored wools with just a touch of color, but these bright and sparkling colorways are sending me into a new avenue!

Sorry for the less than stellar picture quality. My package from FrankieRevolver rocked! I LOVE the color scheme and it's cotton. COTTON! I have been wanting to spin up some cotton. I might go do that while I gaze at the handsomeness that is Josh Dumahl for a bit. Meanwhile, she also sent some Ginned Cotton all natrual and pretty. I can't decide if I want to spin it or put it in my fiber cabinet, or grow my own effin cotton and try spinning that!

ooh. the colors look like a big stick. I love big sticks. now I want a popsicle.
