The family and I are cutting out 350 bugs for the opening day events are my daughter's school. The kids are going to sign and color a bug green to show their support of the school new Go Green Initiative.

http://www.gogreeninitiative.org/

Then we will hang the bugs up temporarily on a back drop stand I am bringing and then hopefully in the school lobby to remind them of their promise to RRRR

This is a link to the original bug shade that inspired my husband to volunteer my skills.

I just want to say that I hope everyone is eager enough to know the truth that they do the research required to obtain facts on the subject of climate change/global warming, whatever the current politically correct label is these days.

All I'm asking is please just think for yourself, seek out facts, make up your own mind and don't let anyone else make it up for you.

I believe that climate change is a natural phenomenon and that humans are not responsible for it.

Capitalism and oil are not the enemy. America cannot survive without oil.
There is a special on the History channel  Saturday August 23rd @ 7:00pm Eastern. It's about oil. I urge everyone to watch.
Alternative energy sources can only provide about 20% of the energy our country needs to survive and even that is many years away. The rest needs to come from nuclear and oil. Beware of terms like 'fast-track', 'consensus', 'leading scientists say',  they are often misleading.

If you look around the room you are sitting in right now you probably don't even realize how much of what you see and use every single day is a derivative of petroleum products, ie:oil. You would not have the needles that you use in your sewing machines if it were not for oil and the list is endless.

I am all for being frugal in regards to using our natural recourses, but I refuse to be made to feel guilty about driving my car, turning on lights, cooking food and heating and cooling my home!

Do your recycling and use your homemade shopping bags (I'll be using mine) and buy your hybrids (if you can afford one) and have a great time making your project for the 350 cause and the best of luck to everyone who entered.  All I ask is that you enter into the next few months and years with an open mind.

Question everything and gather information from different sources. It's how we learn.

Rock On
Maxine

You're more than welcome! I was frankly disappointed that my beloved craftsters went this route. This is a goldmine of young impressionable minds. I could not not say something. Hopefully and humbly a second opinion will make some folks think.

Thanks for the support

I'm so glad I live in the USA where I get to decide for myself what to believe.
