Love the dress, and it looks so good on you! This tute is the first one I have *ever* read that made me feel like I could tackle this and come out with something I like. Clothes seem scary to me, but this tute and your guide to tailoring to fit make me really excited to give it a try! Thanks! Smiley

Thanks for the awesome tutorial! I made a mario dress following it and it was pretty easy even though it was my first time making adult clothes Smiley not totally done tailoring but I went ahead and posted some pics on here if you want to see! http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=390254.0

Wow, this is beautiful!  I've got some very similar fabric (gorgeous green with a design along the selvedges) just waiting to be made into something special for an upcoming trip!  One thing I might change is to put smocking in the back panel instead of a zipper; hopefully that will also minimize the need for tailoring.  Not normally my thing, but especially for an unlined sundress, I think it might be more comfortable than a zipper.  And a lot easier! :p

Question, though... did you cut the skirt front and back at the same time, or did you have to cut out two separate pieces to get the edge design all the way around?
