That fabric is beautiful! And a great tute! I'll have to make one of these for me when I get the time to do something that isn't for selling >_>  Grin

Thanks for the tutorial!  After much pinning, revamping, and changing of the bodice (to make it more modest for church), I came up with this:

Trial version:

Final version:

Both are actually wearable, which is an improvement from some of my other patterns (apparently, I'm long-waisted, but short between the shoulders and bust). Just for fun, I took a picture of the before pattern (which I misdrafted at first), and the pattern piece I ended up using for the top bodice:

It's unlike any other pattern piece I've used for a bodice, which could explain some things.  Smiley

It's not a mistake. It's...um...a design feature.

I have to say that I've had this tute bookmarked forever and a day, but never had enough fabric of one print at any given time (that wasn't spoken for)  to make it.  Then I hit a sale at fabric.com and bought material ESPECIALLY for this dress!  A lovely mint green with pretty chocolate brown and pink paisley!  Can't wait to try it!

Utterly gorgeous and such a beautiful fit on you. I love this style of dress - might give the tutorial a go when we get a bit closer to summer!
