Thanks for this great idea. I now know what my carnivorous son will have for his birthday.

Peelin' off the tissue, inch by inch, skinnin' off the muscles, too... harvesting the kidneys for the fall, saving up the livers in the fridge... no one ever thanks me when I'm done, how self-absorbed people can be!

It's a thankless job, but somebody's got to do it.

Methinks it's too thematically beefy... would be better if the layers were a different kind of meat.

Regardless, DELICIOUS.

Last year for April Fools Day I made meatloaf cupcakes with mashed potato frosting that was dyed blue. My kids were so excited that they were going to eat cupcakes for dinner. They got SO mad when they bit into them and realized that they werent the sugary kind of cupcakes. After they finally calmed down (it took awhile) and decided to eat them they discovered they were pretty good. I like the whole cake idea. Might have to try it this year. Although it was nice that the cupcakes were perfect individual serving size and could be eaten on the run.
