To all the bibliophiles out there: how about a swap for those who love books and the stories they contain? Crafts could be book-related (totes, beaded lanyards for reading glasses, bookmarks) or could be inspired by favorite books and authors!

My thought was a late summer/early fall sign-up time. Is anyone interested?

Hi! I just wanted to let you know that I emailed Sublime Stitching the other day suggesting that they offer some book-themed designs, and I got an email back that said they actually have that in the works and it will come out in the next few weeks. So there's something for us to keep our eyes out for.

The book swap going on currently is a reading one. Trade used books.
I think this swap would be more of a general book related swap, which is something I am definitely interested in.

YAY!  I have been eagerly awaiting some new patterns from them.  The sublime stitching website is awesome!

Yes - the summer book swap is to trade paperback books, and is not craft-related. I'm suggesting a book-themed craft swap. Smiley

And that's great news about Sublime Stitchery putting out a book theme! I can't wait!

I would love to be a part of this.  I like both the idea of book related and book themed swap items.  and maybe we could include one recommendation book for our partner.  Though I'm sure that the genre interests are all over the place.  Cheesy

I'll defiantly watch this one!

Its craft related as well... and the books don't have to be used

I was going by "We will be swapping 2 used books and 3 small items." Smiley It sounds like a fun swap, just not what I have in mind for the book-lover's swap (which would be craft-oriented and not mainly for swapping books). Also, the timing of the Summer Reading swap doesn't work for me, so I'm still interested in starting up something for the late summer/early fall.

I understand, being a fairly finicky reader, the book swap was daunting.  But a swap themed around the love of books in general could be fun.  Would we list fave books and authors and let our partners go from there?  Maybe sending a book could be optional, maybe count as a medium?  What do y'all think?
