So, I've been lazy & haven't posted pics of my dress yet.
My friend got married on May 17th & I made the dress I wore from Simplicity 3780.
I had only previously made pajama pants, a summer top, and a poodle skirt (I made the poodle skirt when I was 8, haha).
I wanted to make a mock-up first to see how well I understood the pattern & used some bargain fabric from Hancock.  After working with the fabric for a while, I fell in love.  Luckily the mock-up turned out perfect, so it became the final product.
One of my crafty friends thought it was Amy Butler fabric.  Nope!  Super cheap, I think it was $1.50/yard.
I was very pleased with the way it turned out.
*** I hope my super-white skin doesn't hurt your eyes!

That came out beautifully!  And the color really does compliment you.  Did you have any trouble with the boning in it?

1. Being tan is totally overrated.
2. I wish more of my "finished products" turned out like your "mock up."  Seriously.
3. I feel like this skirt length is hard to pull off without making one look older, but this dress' color/print/cut looks great on you!  Excellent job!
