Does it count as Native art when I make it?

I made these ribbon flower bouquets and boutonnieres for my cousin's beautiful bride Tanya, a punk rock girl who loves pink and black.  I had a lot of fun coming up with the different ideas, and I may have gotten a little business out of it--her sister caught the bouquet and asked me to make her wedding flowers!

I used taffeta, floral wire, floral tape (love that stuff), wire edged ribbon, feathers, and those teeny tiny ribbon roses that cost about 99 cents each.  You'll need scissors, needlenose pliers, and a hot glue gun....the ribbon can get kind of expensive, I should have thought ahead about that!

I don't have any pictures of me making them, but this website shows how I achieved the basic ruffled rose.   http://www.save-on-crafts.com/howtomakribr.html
I wrapped little bunches of taffeta and feathers together, and floral taped the heck out of all the stems to make it have that smooth look.  You can use the same technique and achieve a wide variety of looks.

Even made a little one for my 7 year old cousin to carry around...

Those are all fantastic!  I love all the little details and that color combo is one of my favorites.  The butterflies are such a cute, whimsical touch.  Great job!

Well, that's just silly.   Smiley  I'm investigating other flower possibilities, so it's nice to see something as lovely as these ones.
