I received "I is for Icon" from Crafty_dame today.

It's a lady praying (I assume one of those old-school catholic types). She's has an embellished crown, and a heart on her breast. It's got this incredible textured finish to it, and her robe is painted in what looks like stained glass paint so that you can see throught the colour to the printed portion underneath. It is incredibly interesting to look at. Oh, maybe it is that embossing powder stuff that you heat up???

And I really must apologize to crafty_dame as well... it seems that Gilbert got the runs from having too many grapes... I have no idea how I missed that!! Embarrassed

That Hide and Seek is too clever! Who made it?

OOPS!  I forgot to write who made what!  I edited my post to correct that.

H is by AggieGirlKatelyn.  G is from Cowin and I was made by Sajona.  (So sorry about that, guys!)

goodnorevil, your green card is fabulous! i love the stitching and the trim!

corwin, glee club is a great G word, i never would have thought of that! i like the postmark across the image.

AggieGirlKatelyn, the hide card is inspired! what a fabulous idea!

Radegund, i love the hiccups card, the writing in the background is perfect for how you feel when you have them!

KatyMai, that IS supercute! and i love the border you put around the edges.

Twiz, that poor cat! aw! so cute though!

lunanne, i'm glad you like the game card, i finally found a use for some of the game pieces i've been obsessively collecting! and Radegund, the background on the card is a punjabi newspaper, but i believe the writing on the stamp is hindu, since that's the national language of india. punjabi is much more common around here though. the fabric is a scrap from a salwar kameez, or a punjab suit. my sister makes corsets out of them.

clrowi, the lady is the virgin mary (i'm a little bit obsessed!), and i'm glad you liked it!
here's a picture of it -

and yes, the blue gown is embossed, as is the silver frame around her. the rays are gold leaf. the slightly wonky heart is courtesy of my big bite crop-o-dile, which hates me! this card was SO hard to give up, i loved it so much! but i saved the stencils that i created to use for the atc, so i'm going to recreate it as part of a larger piece to hang in my bathroom!

today (rather, yesterday, since it's now 4am!) i received a gorgeous card from karin_!

isn't it gorgeous!? i love all the little details. she was inspired by the "most amazing inspiration boards filled with vintage things" on artsymama's blog. i love it! the vintage trim and the buttons make me very happy, and the design on the back looks like barkcloth! it's fabulous!

thank you again karin_!

check out my crafty blog!

i like exclamation marks.

This card is from vinnie451! It's so gorgeous. I need to teach myself how to do paper designs like that. It's definitely a great card to add to my collection. Smiley
