OK, its a door - so i thought home sweet home? No idea where to post it otherwise!

I made this for the recent fairy tales & folklore swap, the first time i have made anything like this ever, this was the 2nd try (air bubbles in the first one), & I am pretty pleased with it! (its about 4 inches high, back & base are covered in green felt)

i feel a bit guilty seeing these lovely comments when it was so easy to make!

its from a door mould, one of those that look really rubbish until you actually see what comes out of it, & herculite casting powder (its a bit stronger than ordinary plaster of paris)

several layers of painting with different shades to get a bit of colour depth, then the fine detail, then a few layers of varnish, covered the back & the base in felt - and there, one titchy fairy door!

This is so very cute.  Awww a fairy door.  I'm in love.  What da ya' mean easy??? Sounds like lots of steps\work and the results show it.  Great!!! I can't imagine trying to paint accurately such small details.  Love it!!! Smiley
