Pull out all the tape and knit with it? Huh

Maybe donate them to a local Senior citizen center or maybe Hospice?Huh

Or maybe a dialysis center where the patients have to sit and wait for hours while they're being treated?

I tried knitting with that tape stuff from audio cassette tapes, but it came out sort of brownish and crappy, not a good look at all, so my prediction would be that knitting the stuff from VHS tapes won't look too good, but I'm willing for someone to prove me wrong there Cheesy

ok so apparently VHS tape is alot harder to get out then cassettes.

it keep getting snagged then ripping.

I spent about twenty minutes, pulling, snapping, and using my scissors to /open/ the VHS case and pull the tape out today.  Find a hole that your blade will fit in and pry it until you can sort of hold it open and repeat until it either falls out or you can pull it out.

You get about one or maybe more metres of the stuff inside.

like 5 years ago, i made a curtain out of mine. and um i kind of, like, totally love it  Smiley Smiley Smiley

it took a lil while to make, i just measured the height of the doorway, cut a WHOLE HELLA LOT of strands of the VHS tape, then just stuck them one by one to long pieces of scotch tape, and stuck the tape to the curtain rod.

it's put in as a room divider.

here's how it's hung. the curtain rod just baaaaaarely reaches, so it's actually hanging from those hooks.

so, and then, to make a doorway, you i just clip it back with a hair clip, like so.

just remember, the tape is flamable, so don't light candles near it. um. unless you want some insane excitement.

Shocked  That is awesome!  You don't have problems with it tearing?

thanks for the comment Smiley no, the tape is pretty darn durable actually. the only problems i have are walking through it after after a shower (they stick to wet skin, lol, and all of a sudden it's like you're in a trap). they move when my ceiling or floor fans are on, but they all stay pretty vertical, so it's not like, completely chaos.
