Haha!!  I just had to tell this story.  I kept seeing people talking about going to their "LYS" to get this or that yarn and I thought it was a chain or something.  I kept thinking "Dang, I wish there was an LYS around here so I could check out some of those yarns!".  Then, last night, I happened to stumble onto a website that was talking about LYS and that it meant Local Yarn Shop.  HAHA!!  I felt so stupid! Yeah, I got confused about that at first too.  When I first read Stitch N Bitch, there was a part about abbreviations and I was like, "Yeah, right, no one calls a finished project an FO"  lol.  Here's a forum that has explanations of a lot of abbreviations http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=147840.0

Of course tattoos hurt...they're applied with needles, not kitten whiskers and bunny tails.

I'm usually pretty good at figuring out abbreviations but I'm with you on this one. I thought LYS was like lion brand yarn store or something lol I've seen FO before but didnt know what that was either but ive never even seen UFO but thats way cool. Thanks KittyCreates for the link, its very helpful so helpful i might print it out lol Cheesy
