I'm the same way, Deb! It's always awesome to get presents, but I so love giving them!

sactownsue - they had a copy of it there last weekend - it was $2

Or was it the clearing a path through the craft room that I could help you with?  I do believe I will be exhausted by the time I am done doing my room Cheesy

Tanza - you are sooooo right!  Every time I clean up I can't find anything but right now it is BAD.  I really do not have a place to walk and I can't find a single thing.  I really need to clear a path and get in there!  Hopefully I can keep my stuff organized this time right.  I just think I need to do some serious stashbusting this summer and get to crafting!
I bought it all to use - it is time to just use it!!

need help with a pathfinder... Mine is shrinking. I used a little on this swap. Need some stash busting swaps or brain surgery. My budget is shrinking so that should help w/ acquisition. But all the stuff I took out to use on this swap is still trying to find it's way back to it's previous home. I'm soooo disorganized... Every time I try to organize so like things are together and other obvious... it just seems to get worse. *sigh* My goal is to only do projects and swaps that use from the existing collection... Or thrift stores. I hope I'm not responsible for JoAnn's and Michaels filing bankruptcy...
The package I sent on the 16 is still showing in CA.
I track them because I'm not in a good neighborhood and so we get the trainees for delivery, they can't seem to match the numbers on the letter with the number on the house. A five year old could do it! And I'm surrounded by thieves. Since my partner has invested of themselves I want to do what I can to make sure it is received. It would be less stressful to me to just send packages, except for the expense.

I just got an excellent box from bigfatroses today; here's the loot:

First we have the crafty item:

Egyptian coasters!  these are terribly elegant-- I feel like I need a glamourous living room to put them in now... (Hm, my boyfriend just bought a house....)

And not only are they incredibly cool, but there are three more sheets of papyrus calendar left for other purposes.  And the front.

$1.50 - coaster set (yard sale)
$0.25 - Pharoah calendar (yard sale)--- Coolest thing ever!!! Smiley
$0.10 - paint brush (hardware store)

and extras:

This is really cool-- it's a little necklace with a panel where you can put in photos, sort of locket-like, only without the cover.  I'm not sure if I'm keeping it for me, or if it's going to get adopted by one of my dolls....  and the blue necklace is also really neat-- I'm trying to decide if I'd actually wear it, of if I should break it up for other projects.

$1.00 - silver necklace (yard sale)
$0.25 - blue necklace (yard sale)

seed beads!  these are larger than what I usually use, but they'll be good for accents, and I love the little stripey ones.  Smiley

$0.25 - bagged beads (big lots)
$0.75 - beads in container (yard sale)

"executive decision dart board"-- I think it's magnetic (I haven't opened it up yet)... I may have to pass this on to my boyfriend as a silly office toy-- I think his office would really appreciate it; they're pretty crazy (in a good way)

$0.75 - dart board (yard sale)
$0.15 - set of cute pens (yard sale)
FREE - film canisters (freecycle)-- good for, say, storing beads... Cheesy
FREE - map of the US (neighbor)-- I just cut up a handful of these for my first set of journals.  Smiley
FREE - hot sauce (from parents)-- which is funny, since she e-mailed me about it while asking questions for the swap Smiley

...for a total of $5 exactly!

Great stuff!  Thanks bigfatroses!   Grin

I told my sister that I made Egyptian coasters and I think I may have hurt her feelings for not sending them to her...  I suppose I'll have to hunt down similiar supplies since her birthday is coming up!  Smiley

And my husband saw the pictures I took of them, and he said that they looked awesome, which coming from him, is the BIGGEST compliment!    Grin

I just want to post a close up of one of the coasters to show the detail (it was really hard to part with these!):

It was really hard to cut the papyrus, but I think the end result was amazing!!

bigfatroses - those coasters are gorgeous. Good job! That's quite a haul thanate got.
thanate - there are lots of fun things to do with film canisters. Kids like to put stuff in them. and they are water proof. So you can put a leash on them and use them for money while at the beach.
ollieorange - that bunny trio looks like mine last night. bad bunnies, bad... The mustache necklace is so funny!
oohmybees - you are very creative!

Piesky, I think you've got the wrong place!  Other parts of craftster will probably be better if you're looking for instructions on how to make something.  Or send a message to the person who made the craft youre looking for by clicking on their name and then clicking "Send this member a personal message."

hngoodlett sent me a FANTASTIC package!  I love it. Smiley

First, bought items- Turtles!  The Tippy-the-turtle is upstairs in water right now, growing.  The head and feet of the other one jiggle.

Next, a t-shirt!  Havent tried it on yet, but it looks like it'll fit!

And finally, my very favorite...Gorgeous turtle artwork on a canvas!  It's made of little dots of magazine.  I love it so very much!!

Crafty Receipt:

White shirt - $1.75
Blue shirt - $1.75
Canvas - $4.99
Turtles - $0.99 & $0.99
Magazine bits - free!

Total: $9.97

Thanks again for my package, hngoodlett, and craftydeb for organizing!
