I am so happy with how this turned out...just wishing I'd taken a pic of the original tee. Because, you know, it looks *so* different now! :p

The totally cute shirt came from the thrift store. Since my tyke is 2(and a bit) now, figured it would be fun to make her something from it. Also, this is the first time I've fitted sleeves on something, so I'm a bit proud, too. No pattern, just drew around a shirt that fit her, added length ('cause I'm lazy and wanted to keep the 'real' hem) and started cutting. I cut off the sleeves and re-used them, so no hemming there, either....now wish I would have taken out some of the stitching to do the sleeves properly -- hate seeing the serged seam. Next time.

Tyke's in no mood for action pics, but snapped a couple anyway. It really is basic, but I'm quite pleased at how well it turned out. What do yo think?

Please excuse the ladybug sticker and pad thai mess. Didn't see that until just now!

Thanks! I have plans for several more of these dresses (and nightgowns, too!).
