Hi everyone, I'm new here. I've been lurking for a while and I am amazed at some of the creativity here. Anyway, I just got a new machine and am getting back into sewing. Just completed my first project. I customized a blouse pattern into a retro-style bowling shirt. I had seen some bowling fabric at Jo-anne's that I decided to combine with some plain black I had on hand. I was pleased with the result and thought I'd share a picture.
(Now I just hope I can get the picture posted here!)
Keep inspiring me with your wonderful creations!!

Oh, that is so cute! A few of my friends recently formed a bowling league, and I'm dying to make their team shirts.... they won't let me thought! Well, it could be because I want to call them the "Mad Beavers" and do a giant beaver stencil on the back of each shirt... hmm.. nah, can't be that!
Anywho, nice job on the shirt!

Smiley Thanks for the comments. I'm glad to be sewing again.
I wore the shirt to bowling.....was hoping it would make me bowl better but...oh well.  Sad
At least it was comfortable and several people really liked it and said they wanted one.
Thanks for the inspiration I get from this message board! Keep sewing!

Wow, that looks great!  Maybe you'll get me inspired to do something with that Betty Boop bowling-themed fabric I've been hoarding for years Smiley
