This is my first post and my first purse.  The last purse I made was way back in high school and it was a tube tote bag with rainbow handles (that'll date me).  I just love shopping at Super Walmart for their $1 yard fabric and found this fabric which was two tone.  Half of the fold was checked and the other half was the denim look (all cotton though).  I took a handmade pattern sized to my preference for the front, back, sides and bottom...then did the same for the lining (lining is just the checked with a blue pocket).  I was going to add a beaded fringe but decided the buttons looked cuter.  I haven't decided if I'm going to add something to close it with or not (zipper, snap, etc.) but it's pretty much done at this point.  I need feedback...I'm so excited to make more.  I'm in the process of opening a baby store online with handmade baby clothes so this is a totally different venture which I'm loving just as much.  Smiley

Yes, that's where I got the idea for this purse.  I had made one diaper bag and it was on from there.  Smiley

I love it.  I'm glad that you went with the buttons, I think that's what really makes it special.  It would make a great diaper bag.

It is not our abilities that show who we truely are, but our choices.

I'd love a tutorial on this one.  it's so cute!

I would rather be bitten by a snake than walk thru a spiderweb and not know where the spider is!
