Smiley I made this to go with my green velvet pants that I made. It was the last of the fabric and I used the leftover from my last project for the lining. The initial is an 'A' but some people think they are pants since I make so many of them. I cut the A out of the velvet to reveal the floral fabric behind then zigzagged!

That is the most awesome thing I've ever seen!!!
I love bags.

It's a cool idea with the initial with all the initital bags that are around at the moment, but they don't do one with an 'H' on it.I wish I could do something like that, I'm so jealous!

That's too cute. I looked before I read, and I was sure that the A was appliqued on. I love your method though! How creative.

Just taking a look around...

great idea! I think another cool thing, based on the fabric you used for the lining, would be to cut out a shape to reveal the bird on it - so pretty!

Thank you everyone, I really like this one, it makes me feel like a girly girl!

Sewer, I have been seriously sewing for 7 years now, many years before that. I have taken pattern drafting classes at a college at nights on and off. It is very hard to now that I have my daughter. In the 3 years since she has been born, I have only been able to take one course, so I try to challenge myself by giving myself assignments.

It's a wonderful bag, and I love the lining. It really looks fantastic. The reverse applique is great, and whether it's an A or a pair of pants, it's still funky! Wink
