Ok, so theres this great band called Flatfoot 56, and at Cornerstone festival, they have a theme for they're midnight show.  This year, its a Grecian theme, so my friend called me up and asked me to make her a toga.
So I need a toga that:
Isn't very likely to fall down
                           Looks cute
                           Has a skirted-ish bottom.
Is easy to run in.  Hello?!?  Its a circle pit!!

TIA guys!

Try the infinity dress

Easy to make, and tied the right way it would look toga-ish.
Good luck!

Sweet idea.  I was thinking about going with this(http://www.fitzpatterns.com/products/2311-shirley-off-the-shoulder-dress-sewing-pattern) for the top and winging the bottom, but that would totally work.  And if it survives the circle pit( unlikely...) then we can still wear them!  Thanks a ton!

Togas are roman. Like it, bur greek is an exomis or himation. You might try something more tunic-like, such as a peplos or a chiton. http://members.ozemail.com.au/~chrisandpeter/radical_romans/snorri/greek_clothing.htm

Just found this resource. I haven't actually looked at them, but seems to have a few options - and historically accurate to boot!

http://www.idcw.org.uk/weblibrary.html - the "Western Drapes" option on the left.

Crochet uses a hook. Pirates have hooks, and they are cool. So crochet is cool because of the hook.
