I've got a hook and I'm not afraid to use it.

I've received from hipmama1970, and here they are in all their glory. I should have received them yesterday, but UPS, knowing how valuable they were, couldn't be convinced to part with them until today. I had to sign in blood and promise my first born...

I should add that hipmama1970 and I are overachievers (in my case, only in crochet!) and decided to exchange 8 squares instead of four, so that's why there are so many of them.

(And apologies for my camera! These squares are all in a sage green and a beautiful deep purple, no matter what my camera says!)

I think either the snowflake square in the first pic or the lacy diamond square in the last pic is my favorite. Maybe they're both my favorite!

Thanks so much hipmama1970! Beautiful job!

Those were my favorites, too!

I will get pictures out tonight or tomorrow, my squares came yesterday and they're BEAUTIFUL!

Aieee! Like I said, I got the squares and they're BEAUTIFUL! I took pictures, but I haven't gotten them off my camera yet.

Friday the kids and I were at a field trip, and my car was broken into. They shattered the driver door window, and stole my purse, CDs and iPod (all of which I thought were pretty well hidden.) This has nothing to do with the swap, but it's sucking up my extra time and I wanted to tell you all that I will post the pictures soon, the squares are really cool! I've just been dealing with the car glass people, closing accounts (including my bank account, because they got my checkbook and the sheriff and the bank both recommended doing that, and credit card, which they were using before I even found out I'd been robbed) and trying to get replacements for all my cards and ID. I never thought about how much crap I carry around in my purse until I'm trying to remember it all and contact everyone. No wonder it was so heavy!

So, the lesson I've learned is not to leave anything in the car, not even if you think it can't be seen and even if there are people all around. No one saw or heard anything, not even the breaking of the window. Unbelievable! What a total mess.

I will post sooooon! cat9 sent truly awesome squares!

hipmama1970: No! That's awful. I lost my wallet about a month and a half ago, and it was tricky enough to figure out what was in that and cancel/replace it all. I can't imagine doing that with my whole purse!

Yeah, I've decided that figuring out/replacing what was in my purse is my new hobby! At least for a while. Those jerks!

I got my photo ready today! It's on my lovely vinyl couch, so don't be distracted by the ugly background!

They are all so beautiful! I think my favorites are the ones with the radiating circle in the middle, I've never seen any like that before. They're all so great though! Thank you, thank you, thank you Smiley

Yay, Jen! I'm so glad you like them. The circle ones are my favorites too. It's pretty much all front double post crochet to make faux cables. I'm gonna have to start using that for other things. See, you do a swap, you learn something new Smiley

(And I like your new hobby! Tongue)
