the skirt started out as two squares and the pleating made it turn A-line. That's how all of my skirts are, rectangles that I gather or pleat  Tongue

i freaking love this dress, black and white stripes are my favorite and its such a beautiful style!! and i love that you used upholstery fabric, i always see such pretty ones but i never wanna make something out of them thinking that the clothes wont lay right, but now that i see how great youve made this dress, i might actually try it!!

The pleats look very nice. I LOVE this little dress. The pale blue waist is a pretty touch. It give the stripes a little kick. This is wonderful. Nice job!

how heavy are we talking? b/c i once tried to make a skirt from material that is apparently designated for a couch...
and it was so heavy it fell off when I tried it on.
