Well, you guys are gonna be pretty jealous when you're done reading this post  Wink

Ok so I came home about 12.30 from the most gruelling three hour psychology exam (that isn't even going to count towards my final grade anyways) feeling drained and tired when what should I find waiting for me on my bed but the most enormous parcel I've probably ever received  Grin

Oh yes, Cheesy so I took it downstairs, armed with a camera to commence the awesome.
OH! *this bit added from the future*just about to click post and I haven't told you my themes! They were:
1)Victorians
2)Winter
3)India
4)Birds (especially ravens)
5)Dragons

George, eyeing it up suspiciously, here I've started to hack my way in with a tiny pair of nail scissors, why I didn't just go swap them for some proper scissors that can't have been more than a few yards away at the time instead of just struggling on with the tiny little things is beyond me  Huh but anyways, I got into it eventually Wink

Everything wrapped up!

These were the first thing I opened, adorable little trinket boxes decorated to fit my victorian theme, I think I just found a new home for some of my make-up

Slightly different angle  Tongue

Then there was this goreous sketchbook with a lovely dragon embroidered on the front

The paper itself is really nice too, it's like she knew I'd just run out of nice paper for watercolours

Now this is might be my favourite item (what am I saying, it's impossible to pick a favourite!), it's a fleecey blanket with wintery patterns on it, perfect for going to uni in September, I hear the halls of residence up in Scotland can be pretty cold

The underside is actually more purple in real life than this photo makes out

action shot of the stencilled tee with a raven on it, it's so neatly done, I can't believe this was her first time stencilling, also it's a lovely shade of blue  Smiley

Close up, doesn't do it justice though

Lotus flower earrings which I love! They're made using shrinky dink which I think I'll have to have a go at some time if I can get hold of some, I'm wearing them right now so I'll have to get an action shot a bit later perhaps, oh and they were on the back of this beautiful photo taken by her husband.

And finally some really sweet extras including homemade cards (more awesome photography from her husband), some postcards from Texas and some texas themed playing cards!

Thanks you so very very much Glenda, you have been an amazing partner and made my first swap so awesome Grin

Of course now I'm worrying about the fact that the items I sent you were alot less awesome than this  Embarrassed and about customs going through my poorly labelled parcel!  Tongue

Oh yeah, and here's why I shouldn't open anything with bubble wrap in the same room as George

Yay Catherine, I'm glad it finally got there! Glad George has plenty of bubble wrap to keep him busy  Wink.

Thank you for modeling the shirt. It seemed like a rather long shirt and I wasn't sure if the raven would hit at an okay spot -- it's a bit higher than I'd hoped for -- I wanted it to be more near your waist. Drats! I was super happy with how the stencil turned out -- it was a good first freezer-paper stenciling experience for me  Smiley.

Ahhhh, the fleece IS warm and cuddly. How jealous am I that you'll be going to university in Scotland?!?! I, too, loved the fleece fabrics and happily would've kept them LOL.

The earrings were a blast to make. It was ALL a blast to make. I loved being pushed outside my crafting box, and your themes were super enjoyable for me.

PS - I've been thinking the dragon-n-rose would be a gorgeous tattoo . . .

Ooh, what a nice tee!  And those lotuses (loti???) are really great looking!

Hehehe...Texas rules.  I think the Texan mentality is rubbing off on me, I've been in Louisiana too long, and we're too close together, but TX definitely sits in a soft spot in my heart.  If you've ever met someone from Texas, you know what I mean.

Okay so, I woke up this morning semi-early (what I consider early when I don't have to work anyway!) I was trying to go back to sleep when the husband burst through the room shouting "mail call!" and handed me my package from flasheyashley! Yay, I totally wasn't expecting it today!

Oh, before I go on, my themes were:
skulls
zombies
coheed and cambria
hello kitty
juno

group shot

journal to go with my co&ca theme. it has a mixture of different types of papers (awesome) and some of the pages have lyrics by co&ca!

the most awesome hello kitty wallet ever!

i'm so jealous of ashley's wallet/purse making skills!

zombie pins! how cool is the michael one?!

hair clips! i <3 hair accessories.

and for my juno theme, the coolest tote ever!

complete with juno pin.

inside, pocket. you can't tell, but the white fabric as little white stars all over it! this bag will be perfect for grocery shopping =). thanks so much again ashley! everything is awesome!

this swap was so much fun, i'm already wanting to do a round 2! i have 2 swaps going right now, but once those are mostly complete, i think it's time for another one. there's two themes i wanna keep, but i've already thought of three new ones!
