Hej Allihopa!

We went camping this weekend which was the perfect opportunity to shoot some nice pics of my newest creation: my Cute Dress.

I actually made the first version of it in the weekend of easter, when i was at the lovely countryside house of my BF's father with an attic filled with fabric. Heaven!
I made a very simple dress, big piece of plaid brown fabric in the middle pleated between two strips of blue. Made me look like a medieval local idiot wearing a barrel.

It thusly ended up on a shelf until last week when i had some Divine Inspiration and started modelling it after burdastyle's sabrina dress, not having enough brown fabric so i had to make it shorter, and then adding the bottom strip and modding the yoke so it got a princesse-y neckline. If i had more brown fabric i probably would have made the lowest yokeband brown also but when i was done i had so little fabric left that i was lucky i had already made those two buttons...

sooooo here it is!

A little closer look (where you can clearly see i did not have enough fabric to align the pattern):

Hope you like it, i am chuffed to bits!

Thats beautiful.
The pattern not matching up gives it so much character.. I wouldn't worry about it.
Lovely job.

I wouldn't worry about the pattern aligning. It looks incredible. I would never have thought to pair those two fabrics together (for some reason color just doesn't make sense to me) but it looks like it was meant to be. Great job!
