It's literally a sleeve!  lol 
I didn't knit this but it still seems it belongs in this category.  I made it from a felted, wool sweater and it's the sweater sleeve.  It makes a great knitting needle holder.  I made this one to sell but I'm making one for me next!

That is so adorable. I need to make myself a knitting needle case. My knitting needles tend to have a mind of their own, and need a bit of organization.
