My baby's room needed some more storage (can anyone say too many baby socks?) and I had a generic, light green pocket organizer for the door.  I liked the organizer but didn't like that it was boring and plain so after some measuring and calculating, I replicated it in this awesome fabric.

The polka dot trim on the tops of the pockets is covering wire inserts so the openings stay square and don't flop around uselessly.  I put eyelets on it and hung it from the door hooks that were from the old organizer but it could easily be hung from other hooks.

Now the boring one is banished to a less obvious spot and this one is front and center on the door. AAhhh, much better.  Now my baby has some style and a place for all those socks.

p.s.  I took a lot of pictures of the process so if there's interest, I could write up a tutorial.

I would like a tutorial.  I've been thinking of making something similar, and specific measurements would be nice! Looks great!

I have the boring green one, too! This would be a good idea for when my girls get older and have separate rooms--I can give them some cuter ones that fit their personalities. You have also motivated me to embellish the boring one with some trim or paint or something. Well done.

I love your organizer! I'd be interested in some directions too--the wire looks so interesting.
