A Book of Hope.... (picture plentiful!!)

I am involved in an upcoming cancer fundraising event called "Relay for Life" on June 14.  Being all obsessed with chunky pages I had the idea to make a little chunky book in the theme of Hope as part of my teams fundraising efforts.  So I invited a bunch of the fabulous craftster artists to join in (I wish I could have invited more but that would have been some BIG book!!) and ended up with a gorgeous book of hope!!  I bound all the pages together with some black heavy gauge wire and added a few extra embellishments on the outside.

The book turned out so wonderful that my team decided it needed to go to one of the survivors so it will be randomly raffled off at the survivor dinner before the relay.  As a survivor myself (to be fair I'm staying out of the raffle) I find the small word hope to be a big part of my life today...it speaks to the hope we all have for the future.

If I can't track down the lady who won the book, I will save this one for next year (oh yeah I'll definitely do this again!!!)

Hmm, I'm guessing my page has been eaten by a postman if it's not arrived. It should be there by now. Have I got time to send another one? Ack, I'm going to do it anyway and pray one of them arrives in time!
