My friend's birthday is coming up and I suddenly found myself only having two days to make her something. I decided to try out this idea I've had for a card...using embroidered designs on card stock. I haven't embroidered before so I thought this would also be a good opportunity to teach myself some basic stitches and practice on paper before eventually moving onto fabrics. Anyways, below is the result of my experimentation. Enjoy!

The other day, I went to Joann's and bought all this pretty paper....and decided I would use one of those sheets for the inside of the card. I love scrap booking paper!

This is lovely.  Is it harder to stitch on paper than on fabric?  Did you poke the holes before you started?  I'd like to try something like this.  Good work.

Yea I poked the holes beforehand. That was wayyyy easier than just trying to follow my pencil lines, especially since the paper I used was fairly thick.
