I Sew Cute was kind enough to send me a little mini-package as a thank-you for organizing, and I just wanted to post a quick picture!

She sent me some Indiana Jones trading cards, some magnets with Indiana Jones images (which I love! especially the comic-book style one!) and a nice thank-you note.

THANK YOU, I Sew Cute! It was awesome of you to think of me!

Supersolar really came through for me with a bunch of awesome stuff!

Inside of the box with an extra Indy picture, lots of notes, & bubble wrap for popping!!

A Grail Map placemat.  Perfect for under my dog's dish, so he can go adventuring with me!!

A Zepplin t-shirt in my favourite colour with my favourite quote.  Even a falling Nazi!!

Not 1, but 2 Indy notebooks.  Plus, an Idol crochet hook roll!

Thank you so very very much supersolar for all of the awesome goodies.  Also, thanks to Kelda for organizing!
I hope that my package for supersolar shows up ASAP so that I can repay her for her generosity.  Grin

You guys are going to be SO jealous when you see what I got from waterbaby. AMAZING. I haven't 'ooh'd and ahhh'd' that much in a long time. She took the 'inspired by' Indiana Jones route which I'm totally digging. i'm completely inspired by and in admiration of her crafting skillz.
... THANK YOU THANK YOU!!

Youre very welcome, JennyBear and Im so glad you were happy with my decision to go the inspired by route.

Am about to post pictures of what JennyB sent me, but thought Id first post a few details about what I sent her, since there were a couple of questions

and also because I was very pleased with myself for the way the bag turned out.  Have been thinking about making one of these since I first saw them, and JennyBears mention of a bag in her swap questionnaire put me in mind of this, which I think integrates nicely with the adventuring theme of the Indy movies.  It wasnt as quick and easy as the tutorials would have you believe at least not for me but provided a nice little challenge, particularly in terms of shaping around the former crotch area and the, ahem, breadth of the backside.  And when I spotted this fabric I knew it would make a perfect Indy-inspired lining the print has an ethnic graphics feel but there are also voodoo-looking masks in it as well.  AND, the whole thing is reversible, making it oh so practical for the adventurer abroad: denim side out for a day at the dig, with lots of pockets for tools and instruments, fabric side out for a night on the exotic town, pockets inside for the security of travel necessities.

The journals are covered with hand-painted paper meant to evoke antique leather or suede.  The artifact medallions are polymer clay stamped with Mayan images, one highlighted with gold, the other inked and pressed into the clay a bit.

The little box and trinkets are polymer clay; the (purchased) beads are turquoise and ebony.  And, finally, Indys favorite, the snake is crocheted with cotton yarn with twisted pipecleaners (aka chenille stems) running its interior length for pose-ability:
