Panda:  As you'll see on all of my dolls, I made holes around the edges of the clay faces before baking and sewed them on with coordinating embroidery thread.  I like the look, and feel like it's more secure than glue.  I did hot glue some feathers onto another doll, and that seemed to hold pretty well also.  What kind of glue were you trying?

Berta, I like the idea of sewing it on, then it is secure.  Just a craft glue....I will have to go get me some E600 or something like that.  thank you

Oh, Susan, I'm so sorry that she fell apart en route.  As you can see, I used wire for her arms and that was too hard for me so I thought "Aha, thread will be easier" and apparently I was wrong. Boo hoo, I feel like a beginner.

Oooooh!!! I've received two in the mail! From fruitloops and from susanab.

I know I keep promising photos - I beg for patience while I wrestle with a very uncooperative computer.

the last one -- from freakytreats -- is a hoot--what an attitude (I think she's ME!). Is that just the fabric the way it is (NOBODY can center fabric like that)  or did you somehow print the black on it?

Now that Kittenwrangler and all group 2 have a NJ quint, here's the family photo taken just before they dispersed. (the yellow hanging ribbons are folded behind them for the shot).

I received from BertaBerta last night (but I was too tired to post when I got home from work - which is when I opened her), and my doll is FABULOUS!  I love it so much, BertaBerta.  Oh my goodness.  It's wonderful.  Breathtaking!

OK, here are photos:

and a closeup of the face:

I wish the photos could be their actual size on here.  Smiley  I have a really nice camera and the large photos show a lot of detail, but when they are resized, those details aren't as apparent, of course.  But trust me, the pictures don't do it justice.  It's a lovely doll.

I really like the leaf shape and the leaf fabric.  I've got a thing for leaves.  Smiley

Let me show off three of the five that are a-comin' to me. I hope I remember who's sent me what.

This is Dulce. She's sleepy - like me.

From: Susanab

This is Celeste. She has stars in her eyes, but I think they look more like squeezy eyes. Which are SO CUTE! >_<

From Fruitloops

An elegant and classy little dotee named Pink Flowers

I love all my dotees so far!! I just need to find somewhere for them to be on display.

Wow, I love the facial expressions on all of susanab's dotees... she makes it look effortless!  In a good way, of course.  They are fantastic.  I wish I was that creative.

And I love the geisha-looking doll.  Lovely brocade fabric, and wow... look at all the details!

This is a great gallery.  Smiley
