I just have to say that my first dotee is about 8" high and rather rotund. She's going to another cause. I will be working on my technique to send out petite, elegant dotees to my group.

Although... short and round... would be rather autobiographical of me... teehee!

I love the ones posted to far! They're so pretty! I'm really hoping some will turn up on my door-step before I go home on saturday so I can take pictures Tongue

Oh Jenicat that teaser pic looks great - such pretty colours!  I am so excited and HOPE I can make dotees half as awesome as the ones posted so far.

Thanks, guys!  The blocks of colors are put up there in no particular order - that is to say that your place on the list of usernames has nothing to do with the corresponding color block in the top row.  It's completely random.  I have to keep you guessing!

I think I put beads on every one of them... but I work in a bead store, so I kind of have every color at my disposal!  Smiley  It was so fun picking out the colors and the fabrics.

I had so much fun making them!  All of my group's dolls are shipped as of today - you should have all gotten the PM with your DC#s in it... if you didn't get it for some reason, please PM me and I'll resend.  Smiley

jenicat, that's an awesome teaser! (you obviously have much better photoshop skills than i do! Wink)

i'm super excited to receive from you, let's hope canada post doesn't do their usual 2 weeks, i'm too impatient for that!

by the way, you can get a DC to canada if you send priority, but that's more expensive, so you're not required to. just so you know! i don't think the priority part really makes a difference anyway, cause once it gets to canada, it's up to canada post, and as i said, they're slow! (i once sent a postcard to a friend who lives in the same city as me, a 15 minute car ride away, and it took 3 WEEKS to be delivered!)

Yikes!  Three weeks?  Augh!

Well, I asked at the post office if I could do delivery confirmation to Canada, and she told me no.

I believe it's possible, but the people at my post office are SO unfriendly.  Sad

Plus I'm short on cash, so yeah, I just opted for First Class.  Smiley

First Class is definitely the way to go when sending to Canada.  I am an avid eBayer, and I have received well over 100 items from the US.  I can state confidently that Priority and First Class arrive in the exact same time frame.  Priority does not have DC - it can only track to the Canadian border and then it shrugs and assumes.  It also costs at least 3x as much as First Class.
Canada post is much the same - Expedited is the cheapest way to get DC, but it costs MUCH, MUCH more than regular small packet, so it is just not worth it unless you are sending a large or valuable item.
