Women Who Strive to Be Equal With Men Lack AMBITIO

My mom specifically requested that I make my daughter and my one neice something that matched.  She wanted a dress, but refused to take measurements of my neice who lives 550 miles away from me, and I was leary of just trying something out only to have it not fit.  I decided to make them these cute little tops from a pattern I bought from YCMT called the Hope Joy Bubble Top.  It worked up very easily, I used fat qtrs, and had enough left to piece together a 3rd top for my other neice who lives 800 miles away.  THe girls are 2 (mine,) 4 and 6. They are not matching, but co-ordinated, and I was able to make all 3 in less than 12 hours along with feeding my family 3 times that day, a trip to the pool for 2 hours and a trip to walmart to purchase additional elastic.
Sorry for the long story.  Here are pics:

I love the colors you chose! I remember bubble tops....(drifts off into a memory of childhood). Nice work!

It would protect you from all harm

Good guys all the villains zero
I'd save you from all that is evil
So you can sleep at night"

They look great!!! I wonder if I could make myself one???

Also the "long story" is my favorite part of seeing a new craft! Don't apologize for it!

I want to fill my home and life with handcrafts! PM me if you want to do a personal swap!

I have brand new inkpads and stamps I need to get rid of. Good brands too. I want to swap for other supplies! PM me if you're interested!

I, too, love the stories behind the project...  I feel like I get to know people through their crafts!  And I love your fabric choices and simple pattern!

Lord, show me your ways. Teach me how to follow you.  Guide me in your truth. Teach me. You are God my Savior.  I put my hope in you all day long.

PM me if you want to swap!  I need some stitch markers...

Finally got one...

You got those fabrics at Joann, right? I have some of those ones. I did an brown and white patchwork skirt, and then a patchwork purse with them! Brown and turquoise are so in right now!

These were my projects in case you're interested:

erin33084 - your bag and purse are great!  I think that I will have to try out that purse tute. I love the one patch that is a cream background with a big brown floral print, you have it on both projects, I wish I did too.  I actually got mine at AC Moore with my 50% off coupons Smiley

These are super-cute!
I actually prefer coordinating fabrics instead of matching fabrics because each top has a different personality. Keeps the kiddos matching, but with their own look.
Do you have a pattern, or did you wing it?

italia_rican_520 - yes, it is a pattern/directions that I bought from the website You Can Make This.  It is the Hope Joy Bubble Top.
Thank you for all the positive feedback ladies!
