Isnt that funny?  I'm going to knit my mom a sweater for christmas, and I'm having to eyeball the size.  How do you fit, "um, hey, what's your bust measurement?" into a conversation with your mom?

Maybe you can sneak into her underwear draw and peek at her bra size?

Well, it isn't exact by far - but you could give her a great big hug and figure it out that way - kind of I Love Lucy but hey, could work - ooooorrrrr take one of her coats when she isn't looking - then return it later on... you could act as if she is losing it - sure mom, it has been here the whole time? See?  It is under your bed - at that point you can bend over and pull it out of your purse and she would just think that she overlooked it....

All of these ideas would be great, except that she lives on the other side of the state!!

I figure I'll just make the size that I normally buy for her.  The pattern I've decided on has a lot of ease, so it shouldn't be too bad!

You are too funny Deb!

You could ask your dad (if he lives with her) to sneak in and get her measurements, i.e. the bra idea or the hug idea.

OK... first of all you have to set it up... fiddle with your bra straps a bit and then say something like... "OMG.. I really think I might have to go up a cup size or something... I just can't seem to get my bras to fit any more....  what size do you wear???

then when she tells you make small talk about it.....

..more then happy to write the script.... Grin

I have been so busy this past week I haven't had any time to finish the last touches of Kaymadben's goodies. I now am getting to a point where I can finish it all up and just relax for a moment. I don't have kids and didn't realize how much time kids take up even when you are just babysitting. I think I will be ok I just need what everyone calls the infamous sleep.
