iíve been a big fan of andrew bellís creatures in my head for a few years now. recently, i've been wanting to turn one of his cute yet gory creatures into a wearable knit-- and i did it! yay

on a head mannequin because its so crazy hot here i can't even put it on for more than a few seconds

the inspiration is "busy bear" and its from 02/04/08

isn't he cute! now i can't wait til winter.
more info and pictures on my blog

I absolutely adore that hat!  I'm totally inspired to make something similar though I wouldn't know where to start.  Did you base it off existing patterns?

no i just winged it-- i was thinking of writing up a pattern if there was interest but i want to email mr. bell first to make sure i'm not stepping on any toes with his copyrights. i also wanted to see if there was any demand-- i don't know how many creatures in my head fans are also knitters or would want to knit something like this

Nothing better than cute and creepy! hehe.

I hope the pattern becomes available *crosses fingers*

Thanks for introducing me to Andrew Bell's awesome art!

I would LOVE a pattern!  this is totally killer, no pun intended!  I would make a hot pink one I think.

I bet he wouldnt care as long as nobody used the pattern for profit!

(To The Tune of "The Llama Song")Here's a needle, there's a needle, and some yarn between the needles, cast on, knit, purl, always knitting, knitty, knitty, purl.

Proud new owner of a Baby Lock 400!  Any advice for the newbie? PM
