Quilt-along - Patchwork Garden

I saw this magazine at JoAnn's, Quiltmaker's May/June 2008

And the word Bunny was on the cover...
So of course I picked it up... and they had a cute little Bunny Patch wall quilt! http://www.quiltmaker.com/currentissue/121/BunnyPatchpreview/
So of course I bought it and started planning it. It also has the opportunity to do the three other parts. That's one way to sell magazines. So I'm planning the Patchwork Garden. http://www.quiltmaker.com/currentissue/121/PatchworkGardenpreview/
I'm not too crazy about the picket fence on the full wall quilt so I'll just think about the big border in background mode. (computer-eze for low priority)
One of the things that make this project interesting, aside from the bunny, is the wide variety of blocks including appliqué. Which is one of the things that makes this project a little difficult. The magazine is copyrighted and you will need the appliqué patterns from it if you want to do the whole thing. I'm not sure how to handle that part...

I'll post some pics of the fabric I'm planning on using in a few days... I'm using bright colors. BTW: I don't work very fast. In two weeks I've only cut out part of the first block. Block S.

These are some of the fabrics I'm going to use. I bought the bottom fabrics years ago knowing I would use them for a quilt someday. Now I have found the quilt and it's time to get to work. The flowery fabric on the bottom left will be used in a number of blocks. The fabric on the bottom right, a collage style coordinating print, will mostly be for the backing. I will use the quilt as a wall hanging. The top left fabric I'm using in the Atlanta Mystery Quilt-along. The yellow dragonfly fab I'm not sure about. It's glittery and stiff.

I really like the floral fabrics on the bottom of the photo.

I wish I could join in your quilt along but I have no time. 

I especially love the bunny block.

Thanks, Hun. I love that fabric too. I've made a couple of more blocks and parts of other bits for the appliqués. Lots of appliqués. I'll most another pic or two in a couple of days.
I love me a sidelines.
