I don't REALLY hate bias tape. I actually love it. But when you have NO PINS (OMG.) it's hard to work with. Smiley I somehow lost my pin tin (lol) in our recent move, and I haven't found them yet. So I was left with only the pins that were stuck to my magnet, which was... ten or so. Not really enough!

This is a prototype bag I made because I'm making my mom one for her birthday. She's always wanted one, and I've never made one because I'm afraid she won't like it. Well, she'll be 46 in a week and a half or so, and I figured it was finally time! Mine is quilted, I don't know if hers will be because she might not like it. (I'm gonna ask. lol.) Lined with a lime green batik print I found at Jo-Ann in the quarter flat section. (You know the flat quarters for quilting? Love love LOVE them.) It took one yard of the black, and not quite 4 quarter flats. Straps are edged on one side with lime bias tape.

Enough chatter! On with pictures!

(Excuse the threads. It fell on the floor and I didn't realize any stuck. lol.)

The color is WAY off in this one. The bias tape is bright kiwi/lime green.

Action shot. Excuse the dirty mirror.

Well, that's that! Comments/criticism always welcome!

Oh, now, that's a great bag, I love the size of it, just perfect!

I kind of giggled at your expression in the photo you took in the mirror, hee, hee Smiley  Looks like you're concentrating super hard Cheesy

Love the colors, and fat quarters are so much fun, there are so many fun things you can do with them!

Great job!
