I was cleaning out my room, and found that I had TONS of old t-shirts from various high school events and activities. They all have lots of sentimental value, but weren't anything I'd ever wear again.  There was no way I could toss them or give them to Goodwill! So I cut them all up and turned them into a quilt top. I pieced the backing together out of a bunch of pairs of old jeans that didn't fit anymore.
Overall, it was a fairly quick project-- I think it took me longer to do the backing than the top!! It's a fairly heavy quilt that'll be perfect for the winter.

Thanks for looking!

I'm in the process of doing this myself...going on 2 yrs. I'm not a quilter AT ALL so I know I'm doing it all wrong. I'm also putting bits of fabric in it also, like a small piece of leather I had left over for my leather jacker in a play and a piece of white trim I used to make our Mr. School  banners....yours is MUCH nicer than mine will be, lol

This looks nice! I haven't seen too many diagonal t-shirt quilts. It looks very warm!

PS. I still wear my t-shirts from high school   Cheesy

love this.... My daughter has been going to Camp Quality since 1998... this year will mark her 10th year (and last year as a camper since she's almost 18). I"ve been collecting the tshirts from each year she went to camp especially to make her a quilt.... just gotta get this last years shirt and I'm on my way.  I like how you placed your blocks on the diagonal.... and love the denimn backing...
great job!!!!

I too love how you went diagonal with the shirts! I'm starting one myself  and can't wait to get enough shirts (I'm kicking myself for ruining all my high school shirts at work). Great job!
