LOL! I know, I am not really into Dead stuff, but when we were at the last swap together and you told me that you love Dead day stuff my mind just jump with the catrina puppet idea, but had not enough time to finish it then, its good that we met in this swap too, because I didnt want to have it in my hose either LOL!! My girl said when she swa it: ehmm.. mommy, that skull you made is so beauty, but sooo ugly, are you sure she is going to like it? LOL!

I think I will make a post of it, and of some other things that I liked how it came out.
I am so glad that you like everything NerdyCrochetGal, I made it all with so much love  Smiley

I think knowing that you aren't normally into day of the dead stuff made it all the more special to me. Because you went out of your way to make things especially for me. Cheesy You are so awesome. I just keep looking at the puppet she is so amazing, and so well made. It scares me to think how much money I would've spent on something that awesome had I seen it in a store. LOL.

I love that you were able to get a better picture of the embroider because it was so amazingly done. I love it so much.

I received my wonderful and amazing package from alteredmommy this week, and I'm so spoiled!

First up is a green t-shirt from loudxmouse on Shop the Swap.  She had just offered these in her shop and I was sending in my claim as the one from alteredmommy came in!  Generously, she has passed it along to me--I love it! (And my husband wasn't around when I was taking pictures of else I would have bribed him into help for an action shot)

I couldn't get a clear picture of the entire shirt at once, but it's a design that says "Our Lady of Perpetual Knitting."  Love it, love it! (And it fits!)

She also made me this incredible mixed paper journal. I love all the texture between the cover and the different pages.  I'm going to have a hard time using it, but it's gorgeous!

This next one cracked me up!  As long as I've known alteredmommy (which has been awhile now), I've been planning ways to defect to Canada.  It's made a bit more difficult since she doesn't have a brother, but I think this kit will help!!! A "How To Be a Canadian" kit (complete with a book, too!)

In addition to the book, there are some packets of Tim Horton's coffee, two flavors of "Northern Delights" fine Inuit herbal tea, a Canadian flag to shimmy up my car antenna, some maple candy (it looks like it's still there, right?), a package of Canadian tissues and Saskatoon Berry Jam. We're going to drink TH coffee and practice the national anthem until we can pass as Canadians!

The next piece is really, really incredible and special.  She asked me for some words that she could use for one of the items she has planned.  I pulled some words from our wedding vows from September, but I never, never in a million years, expected this out of my package!

It's a gorgeous shrine called "Where Love Lives."  Love is nestled into a hand painted egg and surrounded on either side by the words from our vows.  This shrine is so... stunning... alteredmommy.  I was truly speechless when I saw it.

This is an amazing package. Thank you so much, alteredmommy.  You'll be finding partners for the next round soon, I know! Smiley
