wedding in 13 days

a friend of mine came to me 2 weeks ago, and asked me:
can you please please make a dress for my daughter because my stephmother is going to marry her new friend.
they planned it for over a couple of months, but her friend has cancer and not so long to live anymore, so they scheduled it this week.
i tought okay 2 weeks could be done, both of the weekends i was busy, but there were enough days left.
i told her it was too late to draw the pattern myself, so she had to buy a pattern.
it took a week to get the pattern , so i got 3 days left to sew.
with 3 kids around me, and lots of other things to do.
but i finished it on time yeahhhh.
here is the result.
its not the best pic, because i had to scan it from a pic she gave me.
the underskirt took me forever to make, because its full with tulle (you cant really see on the pic) but she could not find tulle with that width so i had to measure and cut it myself.
ok...enough with the blabla...here is a pic.

i made the dress on the left.

i was so glad i made it in time, i hate working under pressure.
and normally i screw it up when its just finished.
sometimes i cut a hole in the dress, or make a hole with my iron..stupid things like that.

Great job! It would take me 3 days just to cut out the pattern  . I hate working under pressure. Pressure = mult ripped seams . I always end up goofing up when I'm rushed. Last weekend I somehow managed to sew a purse handle on top of a straight pin, had to start ripping double seams . Couldn't leave it, it kept poking through the purse liner. The joys of sewing .

Fine, fine job!  Sometimes its painful being someone who sews, seeing as we get so many requests for our skills, but you've gotta be proud for pulling it off and creating something as beautiful as this dress, nevermind in such a short time
