Grusinskaya --- Thank you! I liked the poncho in the original pattern, but I'm thrilled that I managed to alter it and make something even more 'me'...

So basically it's an ALTERED or MODIFIED version from a Copyrighted original......
Nice job. Smiley

I'm not really a fan of capes at all. But yours is definately classy. So much nicer than the norm. So, I'm actually contemplating on making one for myself.  Grin

But I was wondering about your gauge? I'm not familiar with that yarn and so, I'd pretty much need to know what gauge you got in order for mine to turn out the right size.

Also someone suggested a nice collar for it. I think that's a superb idea. I personally prefer a knitted collar for it, even though I crochet better than I can knit.

Would anyone have any suggestions on how I could go about, adding a cute knit collar to it?

I've only been knitting for 6 months so any advice that you could give to me in regards to gauge and knitted collar ideas, would be greatly appreciated.  Roll Eyes

And again, wonderful cape. You did an excellent job on it. It's unique and I like it very much.

Oops I forgot to mention, this would look adorable with a collar AND sleeves.
Would anybody have any ideas on how this pattern could be altered, to add long sleeves (or 3/4) instead? I'm a size small.  Roll Eyes
Unfortunately I lack the experience, on how to figure it out for myself.

I printed off the pattern (thanks so much, for that), and realized that there is no gauge given.
Would anybody who's made this, happen to know what the gauge is?
I'm not familiar with Red Heart Symphony yarn and so, I couldn't even begin to guess the gauge.
I'd be using Red Heart Super Saver or, Red Heart Comfort yarn.  It's a worsted weight.
Thanks.   Smiley

I made a sweater with Symphony and I think I used 7mm on it. You could use 10 or 10 with worsted weight. It makes a little bit looser knit than 8s while not being `holey' and gives it more drape and softness.

This is nice; there's costuming potential here in addition to the nice everyday garment. I was wondering what to do with Symphony yarn.

Wow, where have I been that I have not seen this pattern before?  It is EXACTLY what I have been looking for.  I'm not a poncho wearer, either, but love capelets to take the chill off my shoulders at work.  I'm going to make several of these, I just know it. Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

I love, love, love this pattern. I've made 2 capelets, one as a gift and one for me, only I use a pin to close it because I couldn't find a ribbon to please me. I'm pretty sure that Red Heart Symphony has been discontinued, but you still might be able to find some on ebay!

It's a worsted weight brushed acrylic and is still available in various places.
Google: Red Heart Symphony (like I just did).
